SARASOTA (620 WDAE) -- The Tampa Bay Rays will look to continue their strong play in the Grapefruit League with the second and final night game of the spring against the Baltimore Orioles.

Nathan Eovaldi was scheduled to pitch in Tuesday night's matchup, but weather concerns have forced the team to scratch the right-hander in favor of left Vidal Nuno.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:05, with coverage on WDAE beginning at 6:00.

SMITH SAYS HE FEELS READY TO RETURN -- Outfielder Mallex Smith has not played in a Grapefruit League game March 8 due to right hamstring tightness, but he got a chance to test it Tuesday afternoon in a minor-league game.

Smith got five at-bats on the back fields at Charlotte Sports Park, getting a RBI bunt single, stealing a base and scoring a run, saying his hamstring felt "perfectly fine."

"No issues running, no hesitation," the outfielder said.  "No second thought in any of my movements, so that was relieveing.  That felt good."

Smith said he hadn't talked with manager Kevin Cash, but is hoping to get into a big-league game as soon as possible.

"I hope I'm in there tomorrow," he said.  "I plan on being in there tomorrow, if I'm allowed.  We'll see."
