Bare Knuckle Fighting Makes A Return In Wyoming

posted by Trey Downey -

Bare knuckle fighting might be the most pure form of combat, but as a regulated sport it has never been taken too seriously. A promoter in Wyoming got this hybrid of boxing and MMA with no gloves regulated. They held their 1st event this past weekend and had some names you might recognize. Former UFC heavyweight champion, Ricco Rodriguez fought in the main event and recently released UFC fighter, Bec Rawlings was in the co-main event. The best fight of the night came in a bloody back and forth brawl between UFC vet, Joey Beltran and Tony Lopez. Check out highlights, pictures, and rules for the event below. Some have said the event had the vibe of the early days of the UFC. Do you think this promotion has the legs to make it big?
