ST. PETERSBURG (620 WDAE) -- The Tampa Bay Rays have seen another arm reportedly go down to injury.
Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times is reporting that LHP Anthony Banda will require Tommy John Surgery and will be likely be out until the 2020 season.

Banda was one of four players the Rays acquired in the spring in the trade that sent outfielder Steven Souza Jr. to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Banda appeared in three games for the Rays this year, including one start. He went 1-0 with a 3.68 ERA at the Major League level, and 4-3 with a 3.64 ERA in eight starts with the Triple=A Durham Bulls.
The left-hander joins fellow pitching prospects Jose De Leon and Brent Honeywell, who both underwent the procedure in Spring Training.
