The Fairways At The Open Look Absolutely Baked Out

posted by Trey Downey -

The Open Championship is known for being the Major where the elements are part of the story. Usually the golfers have to face high winds and even rain. This year will be entirely different. Carnoustie has gone weeks without rain and the fairways are completely dry and baked out. Golfers have said that the fairways are rolling faster than the greens and we have routinely seen 400 yard drives in practice rounds. Are you excited for this new twist on The Open? Check out pictures from what the course looked like now and back in 2007 when the open was also held at Carnoustie.
