Rays Look For Sixth Straight Win Over Yankees

ST. PETERSBURG (620 WDAE) -- The Tampa Bay Rays will look for their third consecutive win overall and sixth straight victory over the New York Yankees Tuesday in the middle game of their three-game series at Tropicana Field.  Right-hander Yonny Chirinos, called up from Triple-A Durham, will make the start, taking on Masahiro Tanaka, with first pitch scheduled for 7:10.  Pregame coverage begins on WDAE at 6:00 with The Inside Pitch presented by Crown Eurocars.

FIELD HEADS TO TRIBE -- The Cleveland Indians Tuesday claimed outfielder Johnny Field off waivers from the Rays.  The outfielder was designated for assignment on Friday in order to make room for catcher Adam Moore to be selected to the roster.

Field appeared in 62 games with the Rays in 2018, hitting .213/.253/.373 with six home runs and 14 RBI, but ended his big-league tenure with Tampa Bay by going 4 for his last 44 with 20 strikeouts.
