Ohio State University has announced a three game suspension for football head coach Urban Meyer through September 2nd, 2018 and including the first three games of the Buckeyes regular season. This includes games three games in Columbus, OH against Oregon State, Rutgers and #16 ranked TCU.
Athletic director Gene Smith is also suspended from Aug. 31 through Sept. 16.
Ohio State president Michael V. Drake deliberated with the school’s Board of Trustees in an executive session on Wednesday and concluded that Meyer would be suspended but would keep his job. The decision comes after a thorough two-week investigation, which concluded on Sunday.
