Tampa Bay Buccaneers Place Vernon Hargreaves On Injured Reserve

(via Tampa Bay Buccaneers Communications) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today the team has placed cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III on Injured Reserve and re-signed defensive end Will Clarke.

Hargreaves started in Tampa Bay’s Week 1 game against New Orleans, recording seven tackles, a forced fumble and a pass defensed.

Clarke (6-6, 275) played in 15 games for Tampa Bay last season, recording 29 tackles, 2.5 sacks, two passes defensed and one fumble recovery. He spent this past offseason and preseason with the Buccaneers. A Pittsburgh native, Clarke played collegiately at West Virginia. Clarke will wear No. 94 for Tampa Bay. Carl Nassib will now wear No. 95.

The team also announced that T Jarron Jones has been signed to the team’s practice squad.

Jones (6-6, 320) spent time with Tampa Bay during the preseason. He originally entered the league as a college free agent with the New York Giants in 2017. After spending the 2017 offseason and preseason with New York, Jones spent time on the practice squads of the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks during the regular season and was with the Cowboys this past offseason. Jones will wear No. 73 for Tampa Bay.
