#12 Gators Clinch #2 Seed In SEC Tournament With Win Over Arkansas

The 12th ranked Florida Gators (24-6, 14-3) had little trouble knocking off Arkansas (22-8, 11-6) 78-65 on Wednesday night.

Senior Canyon Barry got one of the loudest ovations on Senior Night in Gainesville - and came through with a team high 14 points.  The Gators took control early, building a 41-28 lead at halftime.  Arkansas cut the lead to 51-45 midway through the second half, but the Gators answered with repeated clutch shots and soon the lead was back at 14 en route to the double-figure win.

In addition to Barry's 14 points, the Gators got a dozen each from Kasey Hill, KeVaughn Allen and Chris Chiozza.  Arkansas was led by 18 points from Jaylen Barford, who also grabbed six rebounds.  Moses Kingsley also added 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Razorbacks.

The Gators wrap up the regular season on Saturday when they go on the road to battle Vanderbilt.  Tipoff from Nashville is set for 2 PM on Saturday and can be heard throughout Tampa Bay on AM 1250 WHNZ.
