After finishing 80-82 for the second time in the last three seasons and missing the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year, Tampa Bay Rays general manager Erik Neander, senior VP Chaim Bloom and manager Kevin Cash met the media Monday to wrap up the 2017 season.

Among the topics discussed were possible changes that could be made to the organization's philosophy on players, whether an eleven-game improvement over 2016 is enough to look on this season positively, the importance of Alex Cobb to this team, and how Wilson Ramos and Adeiny Hechaverria affected the second half of the season.
