Aaron's Degenerate Locks Of The Week 1-2-20

DEGENERATE LOCKS OF THE WEEK

Indiana VS Tennessee (PICK: Indiana +3)

The Hoosiers are 8-4, while Tennessee is 7-5 after both teams went 5-7 last season. The Volunteers have had a rocky road to this bowl game while Indiana has been surprising and consistent. Indiana has been a tough out this year. Indiana ended the regular season with the No. 2 offense in the Big Ten. Tennessee won their final five games of the season, which means they are hot. Even though Indiana didn’t finish strong they had tough opponents down the stretch. If you look at the numbers, Tennessee’s Defense has stepped up in the conference this season. With that being said, Indiana has a much more explosive offense. I think offense wins out and so does Indiana. Indiana +3 is the pick.

Boston College VS #21 Cincinnati (PICK: Cincinnati -7)

I really like the season Cincinnati has had. Cincy has a great defense that's ranked number 1 in the AAC. Their offense is up and down but good enough to be ranked overall in the top 25. BC's top rusher AJ Dillon won't be playing in the game. That will hurt BC big time. The Bearcats D will be the difference here. They will cover the 7.

Tennessee AT New England 8:15p Saturday (PICK: Titans +5)

Ryan Tannehill has been a huge surprise this season, in the best way. He has the best passer rating this season. Derrick Henry has been a major asset in the backfield. The Titans have been putting up a lot of points lately. Unfortunately for them, they are facing a really good Patriots defense. The Patriots defense finished 2019 ranked No. 1 in both total defense and points allowed per game. Something feels weird about this game. I truly believe this is the end for the Patriots. The team has been inconsistent and Tom Brady certainly isn’t the same QB. I think the Titans shock a lot of people and control this game. I believe they win outright as the underdog but just to be safe take the points. Titans +5.

Seattle AT Philadelphia 4:40p Sunday(Seattle -1)

I know this game is in Philly but I’m still surprised by the spread here. The Eagles backed into the playoffs. The Seahawks have been the Seahawks, consistent. Russell Wilson is the better QB and the team is more complete. Philly has been battling injury and have been fighting just to get here. I think Seattle definitely has some holes but not big enough to take a loss to Philly. I think the team with the more experience QB, Seattle, gets the W here. Seattle wins and covers.
