Sloppiness doesn’t even to begin to describe the Bucs’ 20-10 win over the Saints on Sunday afternoon. Tom Brady and the offense struggled most of the day, but were saved by the defense. Todd Bowles’ unit was locked in all game long, but it really came alive late in the fourth quarter, coming up with with four turnovers in just nine plays.

The momentum-shifting sequence came after a brawl erupted early in the fourth, which resulted in a Mike Evans ejection. While it cost the offense its best weapon, it may have been just the spark the team needed. Tampa Bay finally got over the hump after seven straight regular season losses to New Orleans, improving to 2-0 on the year.

Here are the most impressive players from the Bucs’ Week 2 victory over the Saints.

CB Jamel Dean

Dean had great coverage on Chris Olave all game, holding him to just four receptions on 10 targets. But his biggest play of the game came on a diving interception of Jameis Winston early in the fourth quarter. The turnover led to the offense’s first and only touchdown of the game. Then, on the Saints’ very next possession, Dean came away with another diving pick on a Winston overthrow. The Bucs added three more points after that interception on a Ryan Succop field goal.
