The Tampa Bay Lightning (45-29-8) defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs (46-26-10) 6-4 on Wednesday night at Amalie Arena.
Nikita Kucherov had a goal and an assist to finish with 144 points on the season. His assist gave him 100 on the season, becoming the fifth player in NHL history to reach that figure.
The Lightning now know they will play the Florida Panthers in the first round of the playoffs. The best-of-seven series will begin on Sunday afternoon at 12:30 PM in Sunrise.
