The Tampa Bay Lightning lose their third straight of the road trip Thursday 5-1 to the Sharks.

One of the issues on this road trip has been allowing first period goals. The Bolts allowed both the Coyotes and Kings to score two goals in their respective first periods on Saturday and Tuesday. That trend would continue Thursday night against the Sharks. San Jose got goals from Tommy Wingels assisted by Logan Couture at 3:39 and from Brad Stuart assisted by Tyler Kennedy at 18:03.

Tommy Wingels scored his second goal of the night in the second period at 11:47 assisted by Patrick Marleau to give the Sharks a 3-0 lead.

San Jose was able to get two quick goals in the third period by Brent Burns at 4:23 and Patrick Marleau at 4:42 to give the Sharks a 5-0 lead. The Lightning were able to avoid the shutout with a goal from Tyler Johnson at 7:39 assisted by Ondrej Palat. The Lightning lose 5-1.

Tampa Bay has lost three straight for the first time this season. They look to stop the losing streak Friday in Anaheim when they take on the Ducks to wrap up the road trip. The puck will drop at 10 p.m. with the pregame getting started on 9:30 p.m. on our sister station, 970WFLA.
