While the USF men's team induced a headache in its game against Temple Saturday, the women's squad just went out and kicked some Owls butt.

And in the process put itself on the doorstep of qualification for the NCAA tournament.

Inga Orekhova scored 22 points and USF was never challenged in the 72-44 victory.

Third-seeded USF is set to take on No. 2 seed Louisville Sunday at 3. A win there would almost certainly land the Bulls in the NCAA tournament regardless of what would happen in a likely matchup with UConn in the finals.

A 15-0 run in the first half put the game away. USF made all 12 of its free-throw tries in the half.

At 19-11 overall and after going 13-5 in the AAC to get the third seed USF might be in the field already, but a Sunday victory would leave no doubts. Orekhova entees the contest 23 shy of the 1,000-point mark.

Courtney Williams had 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
