WDAE's Rick Stroud had a little breakfast Thursday morning with Lovie Smith, and gave Mike Glennon something to digest.

Smith indicated the Buccaneers would consider drafting a quarterback with the No.7 overall pick, and though complimentary of Glennon would not commit to him as the Bucs' long-term answer at the position.

"To say right now that Mike is the answer and he's our quarterback of the future and we're going to build around him... you're not there," Smith said.

He said Glennon has done "some good things" and praised his arm strength and being a "great guy" but simply added that if a player the Bucs consider a franchise quarterback is available at No. 7 the team would have to consider him.

Stroud will phone in Friday morning during the Sports Page for more on the story.
