The opening kickoff for the 2014 Florida Gators football season is just over two weeks away, and the spotlight shines bright on Gainesville this year as Will Muschamp looks to correct the direction of the football program after a disappointing 2013 campaign. Florida is looking to rebound from their from a disappointing 4-8 record last season that snapped a 22-year bowl streak for the university.
While injuries and poor play told the tale last year, Bleacher Report’s lead college football writer Adam Kramer believes that the orange and blue will have a bright year.
“Florida is probably one of the more under rated teams in the country,” said Kramer to WDAE’s ‘The Ron and Ian Show’ Thursday. “I think they can get eight wins, I think they will get eight wins. I think this is one of those teams that if you get deeper in the season, all of a sudden that we’re talking about Florida as a top ten or top fifteen team I won’t be surprised.”
Kramer expects the Gators defense to be outstanding this season but does admit that Will Muschamp is on the hot seat, and will be for the entire season.
