Toronto Blue Jays pitcher J.A. Happ was injured in the second inning of Tuesday's game against the Rays after a line drive by Desmond Jennings hit the left-hander in the head.
Happ lay motionless in front of the pitcher's mound, and eventually had to be taken from the field on a stretcher while strapped to a backboard. He was able to wave to the crowd while on the stretcher.
The ball ricocheted down the right field line for a triple.
