Rays skipper Joe Maddon was on with Steve Duemig at the 2003 Sneaker Soiree Thursday and brought some light to his feelings on the struggles of the Rays bullpen. Maddon recognised it's been frustrating not only for the fans, but for the players as well. He still has faith in all of his pitchers and what they can contribute to the team. Maddon commented that his bullpen has done a lot of good this year too, but knows they can still improve.

After his fourth blown save last night, Fernando Rodney doesn't look like the same Rodney of 2012. Maddon addressed Rodney's struggles and his feelings on Rodney participating in the WBC. Joe said that it was a big deal for Rodney and his country, and was a little concerned about his emotions when he came back. Maddon made it clear that he still believes in his closer.
