Jeremy Hill rushed for 216 yards and two touchdowns in LSU's 21-14 victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes in the 2014 Outback Bowl.

Freshman QB Anthony Jennings, playing for the injured Zach Mettenberger, rushed for a touchdown but attempted only nine passes, completing seven, for 82 yards while throwing one interception in his first college start for LSU.

The Hawkeyes' backup signal caller C.J. Beathard threw one TD and Mark Weiaman ran for the other Iowa touchdown, while starting QB Jake Rudock was 9-for-22 and 102 yards. Beathard's fourth-down interception stopped a promising drive for the Hawkeyes, but his 4-yard TD pass to Kevonte Martin-Manley trimmed Iowa's deficit to 21-14 with 1:42 remaining.

Following the late score, iowa opted to attempt an onside kick, which was recovered by the Tigers, sealing the victory for No. 16 LSU.
