Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Gavin Floyd had a situation that very few have to deal with while on the pitching mound, a fractured olecranon of his pitching elbow.

Floyd was making his ninth start since returning from Tommy John surgery and enjoying his best outing. He had pitched six scoreless innings, struck out six, and only allowed two hits and a walk until the injury occurred.
