Tiger Woods made a surprise and quick return from back surgery a week before the Masters tournament, and for the future hall of famer he received a rude welcome back to the PGA Tour on Thursday.

Woods made seven bogeys in his opening 12 holes but recovered with three birdies the rest of the way for a 3-over 74 at the Quicken Loans National.

As for how Tiger felt after his first round of competitive golf in nearly three months, Woods said his back felt fine.

Friday will be the true test to see if Woods can make the cut at his own tournament.
